Summary: Our week-long stay at The Cliff Bay Hotel in Funchal was absolutely wonderful. From the moment we arrived, everything exceeded our expectations. Each morning, we enjoyed a delicious and plentiful breakfast while overlooking the hotel’s lush gardens and stunning ocean views. The staff were consistently warm, attentive, and helpful throughout our stay, and our room was impeccably clean with a thoughtful turn-down service every evening. We also loved the entertainment offered on most nights, especially the fantastic jazz performances and the authentic regional dancers and singers, which added such a special local touch to the experience. I would highly recommend this hotel to anyone visiting Funchal.

Summary: My stay was very relaxing and peaceful. Everyone is different, but I would have preferred a buffet in the evening instead of a restricted section from a menu list. Overall, it wasn’t bad at all

Summary: This was possibly our best hotel experience ever. It was my husband's 50th birthday and management helped to make it truly special.The hotel room and facilities were stunning. The Cliff Bay is very well located, on a beautiful bay a few minutes walk away from the port area (I would recommend this distance away from the cruise ships). We enjoyed a couple of meals from room service (best burger ever...and we've tried many). On the opposite side of the scale, the Il Gallo D'Oro Michelin experience was extraordinary...food art and superb service. The hotel is in perfect condition and manages to be elegant and contemporary and yet have charm and feel warm. I would definitely recommend this hotel to others and consider returning. An unforgettable stay.

Summary: For a long time I wanted to stay and did read many reviews the hotel is all people rave about and more ! Amazing balcony views and i did enjoy the view of the Port of Funchal it really has the best location in Funchal . The rooms are spacious with a very private balcony (6th floor) extremely comfortable beds. The service was excellent from everyone we met .
